If you have a current USGA handicap, you must supply your USGA Card that contains your "USGA HCP INDEX" to the Men's Club Handicap Committee.
A letter from your previous club will suffice in lieu of a USGA Card. If you do not have a current USGA verification, you must establish a handicap to participate in weekly Men's Club tournaments. Ten 18-hole scorecards from any courses must be turned in to the Tournament Chairman to establish a temporary handicap. Contact the Tournament Chairman for more information.
Shortly after your application is processed for membership, your Sun City Association number will be activated as your local number. This 8 digit number is to be used to record your golf scores on the computer located inside the Palm Valley Pro Shop or you can use the link on our web site (www.18holers.com). ALL SCORES ARE TO BE POSTED (Your Men’s Club tournament scores are recorded by the Tournament Chairman). Men's Club tournaments are played every Thursday.
You must have a handicap to participate. You may sign up for tournaments as soon as they are posted, preferably on-line at www.18holers.com or at Palm Valley. The signup sheets are located in the Palm Valley hallway between the Pro Shop and the Restaurant. A $10 prize fee will be required on the day of the tournament; either cash or check made out to S.C.S.M.G.C., and paid at the counter when you pay your greens fee. (The $10 prize fee cannot be charged). If you sign up as an individual we will pair you up with other outstanding golfers.
Tournament sign-up sheets show the Time/Date/Course and the cost of the tournament for that week. Schedules are also posted on our web site at www.18holers.com. Players shall check-in with the Tournament Committee no later than 20 minutes prior to starting time.
